about
A honky tonk love song with girl-group swagger, "Furniture Land", Little Lonely's 2014 summer single and follow up to her 2013 critically praised full-length debut, explores excessive collecting as a symptom of a broken heart and, ultimately, a path to reinvention.
With production and mixing by Sean Hoffman (Linda Perhacs, American Music Club, Loch&Key), who also contributes guitar, bass, organ and handclaps, Darice Bailey (The Coals, Grant Langston) on piano and Joey Galvan (Crooks on Tape, Pete Anderson) on drums round out the team. The track was mastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters and all promotional photography for the single was shot by Alex Loftus at legendary prop house, Metropolis, in Los Angeles. The "Furniture Land" video was shot on iphone by longtime collaborator Wonder Bright and edited by Little Lonely.
"Sarah Borges and Brenda Lee fans are going to love this one. Little Lonely. As far as I'm concerned, she is already a star. She doesn't need a major label. She just needs to be heard." Frank O. Gutch, Jr.
"A truly original American voice in all ways. Willie, Cash & Emmylou, at their thoughtful, poetic best, walk some of the same streets." International Review of Music
"A perfect blend of folk, indie-rock and Americana Music. Little Lonely's raspy haunting twang conjures an alternate universe where Chan Marshall and Julee Cruise might hang together at a lost roadside honky tonk smoking cigarettes and playing sad country songs on the jukebox." Kim Grant, Turnstyled Junkpiled

for the forgotten American landscape. It’s a frontier dotted with beauty parlors selling transformation, swimming pool apparitions offering salvation, towns submerged in lakes for the sake of progress and road trip promises of lifelong devotion that can never be fulfilled....more
